Levent Sümer was graduated from Istanbul Technical University Civil Engineering Department and continued his graduate studies in the United States with Prof. David Arditi at Illinois Institute of Technology. After getting his Construction Management master degree at IIT, he started working in Chicago. Then, he returned to Turkey and worked for Calik Holding and Bahadir İnsaat and Torunlar Real Estate Investment Company (Torunlar REIT) at Business Development, Planning and Contracts Management positions. He actively was involved in Project Management and Business Development of projects of 3 million sq.m total construction area including Mall of Istanbul, Torun Tower, Torun Center, Tuyap Palas 5 Star Hotel, 5. Levent Residences, Korupark Bursa Residences, Pasabahce Super Luxury Villas and Hotel, Akasya Residences, , Tuyap Trade Center, Savoy Luxury Villas, Caddebostan Luxury Villas, Cubuklu Valley Villas, Innovia-1 Residences, ASO Trade Center, Schneider Factory.
Levent Sümer holds a PhD degree in real estate finance from Boğaziçi University, a PMP certificate from PMI, he is a professional member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and co-founder and Chairman of the International Project Management Institute (UPYE) which is an organization established in 2010 to extend the knowledge of Project Management in Turkey. In addition, Levent Sümer gives seminars about Project Management, Time Management, Cost Management and Contracts Management in different universities and publishing articles on Project Management and Real Estate Development. He currently works as Visiting Professor at Yildiz Techical University, lecturing “Project Development and Investment Management in Construction Industry” at graduate level and at Abdullah Gül University “Construction Project Management” courses.
Levent Sümer is a Middle East expert and currently working for AE Arma-Elektropanç as a Deputy General Manager responsible for strategy, business development and contracts management.
